This plein air oil painting was painted on the grounds of the beautiful Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville, Tennessee. It captures part of the original main house, built by Wiliam Harding in 1853. The limestone columns on the front of the house are scared with bullet holes fired from the guns of Union soldiers during the Civil War. If your ever in Nashville, the Belle Meade Plantation of well worth the visit.
