The collection of original paintings and special/limited edition prints on this site has been divided into two catagories: Studio Paintings and Plein Air Paintings. The subject matter in this body of work is from places I have visited, from Texas to Georgia to Maine, as well as some western work.

Plein Air paintings are small paintings usually painted entirely on location in a couple of hours or so. Some plein air pieces have some final touches applied in the studio.

The Studio paintings are larger works painted in the studio, usually working with photographs as reference.

2009 News:

• Won BEST OF SHOW at the Midlothian Conference Center 2009 Fine Art Show

• Participated in the Camp Fire USA 2nd Annual Invitational Paint Out held at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, October 15 - 18. For more info, click here...

• Participated in the Paint Corsicana Plein Air event, October Second and Third - Corsicana, Texas

• "ART OF THE LONGHORN" This exhibit will showcase over 38 paintings and prints depicting the magestic beauty of the Texas Longhorn. The show starts at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12th (doors open at 10:00 a.m.) and runs until October 31st. I will have a few paintings of the Texas longhorn on display and sale. Here are a couple that will be on sale.

• Oil painting called "The Artist" accepted into the Southern Appalachian Artist Guild Second National Juried Show - October 17 thru Novemeber 13, 2009. This show is in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

• Two pieces were accepted into the 18th Annual Juried Competition & Show in Breckenridge, Texas. The show will hang from August 25th thru September 26th. The reception and 10% off Sale will be held August 29th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center (254-559-6602 • 207 North Breckenridge Ave., Breckenridge, Texas 76424)

• "Cowhand" was accepted into 24th Annual Bosque Art Classic. The show will be at the Bosque County Conservatory in Cliffton, Texas, September 12 thru 26. For more information on the Show/Reception, contact the Conservatory at 254-386-6049 or www.bosqueconservatory.com

• Heritage Days Western Art Show at the Creative Arts Center in Bonham, Texas. July 10th reception.

• Participated in the 4th Annual "Paint Out" in Historic Waxahachie, Texas. Won "Peoples Choice" in show held the last weekend of event.

• Accepted into the Visual Arts Alliance 26th Juried Open Exhibition in Houston, Texas. May 11 thru June 5 - Opening Reception - Friday, May 15 - 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m .

• Accepted into the 2009 American Plains Artist Twenty-fifth Annual Juried Exhibit.

• Won First Place in Dry Media in the Cedar Hill Regional Art Exhibit, April 16 - 19, 2009

• Accepted into the Texas Neighbors Regional Art Exhibition Located in the Irving Arts Center,3333 N. MacArthur Blvd., Ste. 300, Irving, Texas - Show Hangs April 25 thru May 23,Opening Reception is April 26 - 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Giclée prints on hi-quality paper or canvas are available for most of the paintings. Note cards are also available for most works as well.

What is a Giclée?

Like the long standing European tradition of rendering one image at a time, these giclée images are printed one at a time on canvas. These unique prints capture even the most subtle tints and minute details of the original painting. Giclée prints render deep, saturated color which are as close to the original artwork as is possible.
